How it works

01

Pick your card

Choose the brand, the country of your account and the amount. The price is locked when you create the order.

02

Pay with crypto

Send the exact amount to the address we show you. We detect the payment on the blockchain by ourselves.

03

Get your code

Once it confirms, your gift card code appears on your order page, ready to copy and redeem.

Paying a shop directly in Bitcoin or USDT is still rare in Spain and the rest of Europe. Most supermarkets, furniture stores and electronics chains only take cards and cash. Gift cards close that gap: you buy the store's own card with crypto, and then you pay in that store exactly like any other customer. This guide maps what is realistically covered today with the cards we sell, which countries they work in, and where the limits are.

How it works in one paragraph

You choose a brand, the country and the amount; you pay in crypto (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL and others); after the payment confirms, the gift card code appears on your order page. The store never sees crypto: it sees a normal gift card. Cards start at 50 and the price includes a 3% fee.

Daily spending: supermarket, fuel, delivery

This is where gift cards are most useful, because these are expenses you have every month anyway. A Carrefour gift card covers groceries in Spain, France or Italy; Lidl and Alcampo cover the same need in their countries. For fuel in Spain there is Repsol, and for takeaway Glovo and Just Eat. We explain how to plan this in our guide to paying groceries with crypto.

Big purchases: furniture, appliances, laptops

For larger amounts, cards from IKEA, MediaMarkt, El Corte Inglés, Leroy Merlin, Fnac, Decathlon or Zalando go up to 2000 per card, so a sofa or a new laptop does not require a stack of small codes. Spain is the country with the widest choice: El Corte Inglés, for example, covers fashion, home, electronics and even its supermarket. How these cards are used online and in store is covered in our IKEA, MediaMarkt and El Corte Inglés guide.

Online shopping and digital services

Amazon is the most flexible option because one balance covers millions of products; just choose the store of your account (Spain, Germany, France, Italy, UK or US). For subscriptions and apps, Apple, Google Play, Netflix and Spotify cards pay without a bank card. Gamers have Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Razer Gold and Roblox.

Limits worth knowing

  • Country locks: each card works only in its country or region. A Spanish IKEA card is for IKEA Spain.
  • Minimum 50: cards start at 50, which suits a full shop better than a coffee.
  • Store terms apply: where and how a card is accepted (online, in store, or both) is set by each brand. Check the terms that come with the card.
  • Taxes: in Spain and many other countries, spending crypto can count as disposing of it for tax purposes. Gift cards do not change that, so check your local rules.

Stablecoin or volatile coin?

For everyday spending, a stablecoin such as USDT or USDC makes budgeting easier: 100 € of groceries costs about the same in USDT today and next week, apart from the euro-dollar rate. Paying with Bitcoin or Ether is just as possible, but the amount in crypto changes with the market, which is why the price is locked for 30 minutes once you create the order. If you hold BTC and do not want to touch it every week, buying one larger card at a time is a practical middle ground.

A simple way to start

  1. List two or three expenses you already pay every month (groceries, fuel, a subscription).
  2. Check that the brand exists in your country in the catalogue.
  3. Pay with a stablecoin such as USDT or USDC so the value does not move while you send it.
  4. Use the code within the month like normal store credit.

Prefer to see the payment side first? Our guide on spending crypto without selling it to a bank compares this route with cashing out.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay a Spanish supermarket directly with Bitcoin?

In practice almost none accept it at the till. Buying a supermarket gift card with crypto, such as Carrefour, Lidl or Alcampo, lets you pay there as a normal customer.

Which country has the most brands available?

Spain: practically every brand in the catalogue has a Spanish version, including El Corte Inglés, Alcampo, Repsol, Zara, Glovo and Just Eat, which are Spain-only here.

Do I need to live in the country of the card?

You need an account or access to the store of that country, because the card only works there. Living elsewhere is not a problem if you shop on that country's store.
