Gaming platforms are a natural fit for crypto: the purchases are digital, the codes are delivered online and you do not need to attach a bank card to the account. The one thing to get right is the region, because PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo accounts are locked to a country and Steam works with the currency of your wallet. Here is how to choose correctly and redeem without surprises.
What is available
| Platform | Regions | Amounts | Use it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steam | EU (EUR wallet), US (USD wallet) | 50 · 100 | Games, DLC, in-game items, software |
| PlayStation Store | ES, DE, FR, IT, UK, US | 50 | Games, add-ons, PlayStation Plus |
| Xbox | ES, UK, US | 50 | Games, add-ons, subscriptions |
| Nintendo eShop | ES, US | 50 | Switch games and DLC |
| Razer Gold, Roblox | Global | Razer 50 · 100, Roblox 50 | Credit in supported games, Robux |
Steam: match your wallet currency
A Steam card adds funds to your Steam Wallet. Choose EU if your Steam wallet is in euros and US if it is in dollars; you can see the currency next to your balance in the Steam client. Picking the version that matches avoids conversion issues and keeps the amount predictable. The Steam gift card page shows the current price of each amount in euros and in crypto.
To redeem: open Steam, go to your account menu, choose Add funds to your Steam Wallet, then Redeem a Steam Gift Card or Wallet Code, and paste the code.
PlayStation: the account country decides
A PlayStation Network account belongs to the country chosen when it was created, and PSN codes only work on accounts from that country. A Spanish code is for a Spanish PSN account, a UK code for a UK account. If you play on a console bought in Spain but your account was created as UK, you need the UK card. You can check the country in your account settings on the console or on the PlayStation website.
To redeem, choose Redeem Codes in the PlayStation Store on the console or on the website and enter the code; the funds go to your PSN wallet and can pay for games or a PlayStation Plus subscription. Prices are on PlayStation Store gift card, or directly in stablecoin on PlayStation card with USDT.
Xbox and Nintendo
Xbox cards add money to your Microsoft account and are redeemed at redeem.microsoft.com or in the Store on the console; choose Spain, UK or US to match the account. Nintendo eShop cards (Spain or US) are redeemed in the eShop on the Switch or on Nintendo's redeem page. In both cases the region rule is the same as for PlayStation.
Subscriptions and in-game currency
Store credit is not only for buying games outright. PlayStation and Xbox balances can pay for their subscription services, Nintendo eShop credit can cover Nintendo Switch Online, and Steam funds work for in-game items sold on the Steam store. Roblox cards turn into Robux or credit on the account, and Razer Gold is accepted by a range of games that list it as a payment option. For subscriptions, check that the plan you want can be paid with wallet funds in your country before ordering.
Paying: which coin makes sense
For a 50 € card, network fees matter in proportion. Paying with Bitcoin works but the fee varies with congestion; Litecoin, Solana or USDT on cheap networks such as TRC20, BEP20 or Solana usually cost little to send. You can open Steam card with Bitcoin to compare live prices, and our guide to the cheapest network to pay with goes into detail.
Step by step
- Check your account region (PSN, Xbox, Nintendo) or wallet currency (Steam).
- Pick the platform, that region and the amount.
- Choose your coin and network, create the order and send the exact amount within 30 minutes.
- When the payment confirms, the code appears on the order page, usually within minutes.
- Redeem it on the platform and buy your game.
Mistakes to avoid
- Wrong region: the code will be rejected. Region locks are set by Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, not by the shop, and they cannot be undone.
- Sharing the code: anyone who sees it can redeem it. Never paste it in chats or send it to someone offering to "activate" it for you.
- Buying for a friend: ask which country their account is in before ordering.
